Seeing a Need & Planting a Seed

As a practicing clinician, Darla Torkelsen, MS, CCC-SLP, saw a need for evidence-based, convenient, and cost-effective CE opportunities. With a heart for service and a commitment to excellence, she founded Advanced Healthcare Education, LLC in 2009.  This new platform would:
Make professional development practical and engaging
Incorporate visual learning strategies
Support SLPs with immediately applicable techniques and practices
Help clinicians better meet the needs of their students and clients
Bring meaningful and lasting change to SLPs and the communities they serve

A Revolutionary Transformation

Rebranded Advanced Healthcare Education, LLC to Video Continuing Education, LLC, and launched SpeechTherapyPD.com to revolutionize video continuing education for speech-language pathology professionals.

2018

Breaking New Ground

Broke new ground as the first company to introduce CE podcasts for SLPs, enhancing our educational offerings.

2020

Record-Breaking Success

Made history with Teletherapy Bootcamp, achieving an unofficial world record with over 13,000 live attendees and 42,000+ on-demand participants.

2023

Achieving New Heights
